Our Learning
Wednesday 2nd October
We've had a lovely morning in Year 1, full of wonderful learning. We started off our day with a dance and song, we then wrote the middle of our 'hedgehog stories'- the class have been working so hard with this. We then worked on our number bonds to 10 in Maths, using tens frames and bead strings to help us work systematically. We are looking forward to an afternoon of music and PE!
Our new display
Check out our new display in the corridor, 'We are happy learners'. We made the leaf people in our forest school session, and then thought about how and when we learn best. As you can see there were some fabulous contributions 😃
PE- Basketball skills
We all worked so well as a team and learnt some great skills!
Monday 9th September
What a lovely day we have had! We started our morning with some yoga, followed by some hot seating a dragon from our story in English! We then learnt about how to count 'one more' in Maths where the children were very impressive with their independent learning. This afternoon we explored myths in history and then made some dens in PSHE/forest school. There was some amazing teamwork in this lesson! Well done Year 1.
PSHE through forest school
We have had a great start to the week! Here's some pictures from our fabulous forest school session this afternoon, where we worked together to create nature portraits and talk about what makes us feel safe and special:
